“CHOOSE KINDNESS” JANUARY ASSEMBLY

Assembly 1

The CPS Leadership Team, which consists of students from the Intermediate Division (Grade 7/8) organized and ran an impressive assembly focussed on our school climate learning goal initiative entitled “Choose Kindness”. Our Student Leaders shared a story, videos and songs which drew attention to the importance of choosing a kindness option when dealing with any situation. The assembly also provided an opportunity to celebrate student achievement in athletics and the arts.

We would like to thank Ms. Whiteside and Mme. Raddon who spoke about our Eco Schools initiatives and for their commitment to the environment. Ms. Whiteside has been extremely passionate about educating our children with respect to eco-friendly sustainable behaviours and practices. We are very excited about the new Eco Club which hosted its first meeting today at first recess. Congratulations to all students who chose to join this important new group.

Thank you also to Mr. Clapp and Grade 7/8 who treated us to a fantastic bucket drumming performance. This unique musical presentation has been a classic favorite for all us here at CPS.

We are all looking forward to seeing what the CPS Leadership Team comes up with for our next assembly which will take place at the end of March.
