June is a great time to celebrate all of the learning and successes of the year, and start to look back on how much our students have grown. Our staff are completing June report cards to reflect this growth. These reports will go home with students on Wednesday June 24th.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">We know that change is the one constant in life and that change often brings growth and new opportunities. As we near the end of the school year there are some staff changes to share with our school community.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> </span><u><b><strong class="editor-text-bold editor-text-underline" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">FAREWELL</strong></b></u></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">We have had some staff who have joined us this year at Centreville PS in a long-term occasional and permanent teaching positions or support staff roles this year. Best wishes to Ms. Fraser, Mrs. Darton, Ms. Nicole and Mrs. Howes, as they move on to their next adventure and thank them for their positive contributions to our school.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><u><b><strong class="editor-text-bold editor-text-underline" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">WELCOME</strong></b></u></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">We will welcome Ms. Semark to Centreville as well as a new staff member TBD as a planning time teacher. </span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Here is our tentative school organization for September 2026</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><b><strong class="editor-text-bold" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">JK/SK</strong></b><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> Shauna Whiteside/Sarah Green</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><b><strong class="editor-text-bold" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Gr. 1/2</strong></b><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> Heidi Tyler</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><b><strong class="editor-text-bold" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Gr. 2/3</strong></b><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> Kate Minielly</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><b><strong class="editor-text-bold" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Gr. 4/5</strong></b><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> MaryLynn Kimmett/Karla Tynski</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><b><strong class="editor-text-bold" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Gr. 5/6 </strong></b><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Katie Semark</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><b><strong class="editor-text-bold" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Gr. 7/8</strong></b><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> Ben Clapp</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">We also would like to send a huge thank you to Centreville SAC members for another terrific Fun Fair and all their efforts fundraising this year for Centreville School. It was lovely to see so many families attending and making a tremendous contribution to support the well-being and improvements of Centreville school. We appreciate everyone's generosity. Also, Centreville PS would like to acknowledge the following parent volunteers for all of the "extras" they provide for us: Megan McFarland who is the master of getting school donations and sourced our outside yard equipment for free, Jessie Eamons, who organized our Hot lunches this school year and Karrah Wemp, who always kept our front planter filled and our gardens beautiful. Your time is valuable and we appreciate that you choose to spend some of it on us!</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Finally, a reminder that June is </span><b><strong class="editor-text-bold" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">National Indigenous History Month </strong></b><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">in Canada, an opportunity to learn about the unique cultures, traditions and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis. It's a time to honour the stories, achievements and resilience of Indigenous Peoples, who have lived on this land since time immemorial and whose presence continues to impact the evolving Canada. June also is the month the world celebrates </span><b><strong class="editor-text-bold" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Pride Month, </strong></b><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">recognizing the 2SLGBTQ+ community and acknowledging the social justice work that still needs to be done. Students and families will see flags to acknowledge these events this month as our ongoing commitment to inclusion and belonging.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Wishing all of our families a wonderful summer break.
